Water Treatment Services
Residential and commercial treatment, one approach: understand what's in the water, then choose equipment that addresses it. A system that's right for a well in Buckingham is often the wrong answer for a rowhome in South Philadelphia — and a home system is rarely the right answer for a restaurant or medical office.
Not sure which category fits? That's normal, and it's not something you need to solve before calling. Most homeowners describe a symptom — a smell, a stain, spotting on glassware — and we work backwards from there.
What We Treat
Treatment Categories
Each of these solves a different problem. Some homes need one. Some need two working together. Some need none of them, and we'll tell you that.
Water Softeners
Ion-exchange systems that reduce calcium and magnesium — the minerals responsible for scale, spotting and poor lather.
Typically for: homes with measured hard water, municipal or well.
Water softenersWhole-House Filtration
Point-of-entry systems treating water before it reaches any fixture. What they address depends entirely on the filter media selected.
Typically for: chlorine taste and odor, sediment, or specific well conditions.
Whole-house filtrationWell-Water Treatment
Private wells vary property to property, and several conditions often occur together. Treatment is built around what testing actually finds.
Typically for: homes on private wells anywhere in Bucks or Montgomery County.
Well-water treatmentReverse Osmosis
Point-of-use drinking water systems, typically under the kitchen sink with a dedicated faucet. Not a whole-house solution.
Typically for: drinking and cooking water quality specifically.
Reverse osmosisWater Testing
The step that makes the other five make sense. Understanding hardness, pH, iron and other conditions before anything is recommended.
Typically for: anyone deciding whether they need treatment at all.
Water testingSpecialty Water Treatment
Iron, manganese, sulfur, sediment and pH correction. These depend on water chemistry more than any other category.
Typically for: specific, identified conditions — usually on well water.
Specialty treatmentFor Businesses
Commercial Water Treatment
Restaurants, offices, medical and dental practices, gyms, salons and multi-unit buildings have different demand profiles and different stakes than a home — higher volume, less tolerance for downtime, and sometimes regulatory requirements that a residential system was never built to meet.
Commercial Water Softener
Higher-capacity, often twin-tank softening sized for continuous commercial demand rather than a household's daily cycle.
Typically for: hotels, laundromats, restaurants, gyms and multi-unit buildings on hard water.
Commercial water softenerCommercial Water Filtration
Point-of-entry filtration scaled to commercial flow rates, for taste, odor, sediment and chemistry across an entire facility.
Typically for: food service, offices and buildings where water quality affects the business directly.
Commercial water filtrationCommercial Reverse Osmosis
Higher-output RO for drinking water, ice machines, espresso and food prep, where consistent quality is part of the product.
Typically for: restaurants, cafes, medical and dental offices, and food & beverage operations.

You Don't Have to Pick a Category.
Choosing equipment before understanding the water is how homeowners end up with a system that doesn't fix the thing that bothered them. There are two better starting points.
- Start with the symptom. Our water problems section is organised by what you can see, smell, taste and feel — not by equipment names.
- Start with the water. Testing replaces guesswork with actual readings, which is where every real recommendation begins.
What to Expect
How Working With Gridline Goes
A conversation first
We ask about your water source, what you're noticing, your household size and your plumbing setup. Free, and with no expectation that you buy anything.
Testing or evaluation where it's warranted
Some situations are straightforward. Others — most well water, in our experience — need readings before anyone can responsibly recommend equipment.
A recommendation you can follow
We explain what we're suggesting, what it addresses, what it doesn't address, and why we ruled other options out.
Installation by Our Licensed Technicians
Our licensed technicians handle installation from start to finish.
Maintenance afterward
Treatment equipment needs attention over time. We stay available for service rather than disappearing after the install.
