Meet the Gridline Team

Gridline Water Systems was built around a simple idea: homeowners should be able to get professional water-treatment advice without feeling like they're being sold a system they don't need.

Why We Started

It Started With a Question About Our Own Family's Water

We'd been thinking about the water our parents and grandparents were drinking every day, and realised something uncomfortable: we had no idea what was actually in it. Nobody had ever tested it. Nobody had ever explained it.

So we did what any homeowner would do — we called out one of the large water-treatment companies to take a look.

The quote came back at eight thousand dollars.

No real water test. No explanation of what was in the water or why that particular system was the answer. Just a number, and the clear expectation that we'd take it on faith.

That was the moment. Clean water in your own home shouldn't be a luxury item, and no homeowner should have to accept a figure like that without anyone telling them what problem it's actually solving. We thought there was room for a company that tested first, explained everything, and quoted honestly.

So we built one.

The People

Who You'll Be Working With

Gridline is owned and run by the two of us. When you call about a water test or a quote, you're speaking to an owner — not a call centre, and not someone reading from a script.

Robert

Co-Owner

Robert handles the phones and everything behind the scenes — scheduling, coordination and keeping jobs moving. If you call us about a water test or a quote, there's a good chance he's the one who picks up.

Ryan

Co-Owner

Ryan runs the front end of the business and manages our technician relationships. He's the one making sure the people who show up at your house are the right people for the job.

Robert and Ryan from Gridline Water Systems installed a whole-house filtration system for us and made the process really easy. They explained what they were doing, answered all our questions, and everything was left clean when they finished.

How We Work

Most of Our Job Is Explaining Things

We end up explaining the same five things to almost every homeowner we meet:

  • What's actually in your water. Most people have never had theirs tested and genuinely don't know whether there's a problem at all.
  • How the systems work. Not a sales pitch — what the equipment physically does, in plain language.
  • What to look for on a quote. Including quotes from other companies. If something doesn't add up, we'll tell you.
  • What we look for when we test. Which readings matter for your situation, and why.
  • Which solution actually fits your home. Sometimes that's less equipment than you expected.

None of that is a failing on the homeowner's part. Nobody has ever explained it to them. This industry has been quietly content to keep it that way, and we think that's exactly backwards — an informed customer is an easier customer to work with, not a harder one.

Installation

How Installation Works

Our own licensed technicians handle every installation, start to finish.

The same team that evaluates your water and specifies the system also installs it — bypass, drain and tie-in included. Nothing gets handed off partway through, and nobody shows up who wasn't part of the original recommendation.

It's also why we ask about your plumbing setup early. Where your main line enters, what's near a drain and what the space allows all shape what's genuinely installable in your home — not just what looks right on paper.

What We Believe

Four Things We Won't Compromise On

  • Understand the water first

Every recommendation should be traceable to something we actually measured. If we haven't looked at your water, we're guessing — and we'll say so rather than guess confidently.

  • Say what a system doesn't do

Every service page on this site has a section about the limits of the equipment. That's deliberate. Overselling capability is the fastest way to lose a customer's trust, and it's completely avoidable.

  • No fear, no pressure, no fake urgency

You won't get a limited-time offer from us, and we won't tell you your water is dangerous to make a sale. Most of what we treat is a nuisance issue, and we'll describe it that way.

  • Stay available afterward

Treatment equipment needs attention over time. A company that disappears after installation isn't in the water business — it's in the equipment-selling business. We'd rather be the former.
